This Refund and Returns Policy outlines the terms governing your purchases, institutional sponsorships, and membership registrations. Specifically, it ensures compliance with international digital commerce regulations and payment gateway transparency mandates.

2. Membership Fees and Digital Registrations

We offer several membership tiers, including Individual, Corporate, Legislative Institution, and Academic/Think Tank memberships.

  • Immediate Access Allotment: Once you complete your registration and your payment processes, our system immediately grants you full access to the restricted digital assets of the journal. Consequently, all membership fees, institutional registrations, and directory access payments remain wholly non-refundable.
  • No Pro-Rata Account Credit: If you choose to terminate or cancel your individual or institutional membership before your current active term expires, we do not issue pro-rata refunds for the remaining unused period. However, your access to premium platform benefits will persist until the final day of your current billing cycle.

3. Institutional Sponsorships & Advertising Allocation

In strict alignment with our Advertising & Sponsorship Policy, all commercial campaigns, programmatic spaces, custom newsletter inclusions, and institutional sponsorships constitute dedicated service agreements.

  • Fixed Commitments: Once our media desk confirms an advertising slot or publishes sponsored content on parliamentjournal.com, the associated fees are non-refundable. Therefore, we do not offer cancellations or refunds after a campaign goes live.
  • Pre-Execution Cancellations: If you wish to cancel an advertising layout before its official publication date, you must notify our compliance desk at least 7 business days prior to execution. We evaluate these special requests case-by-case, and we may issue platform credits at our sole operational discretion.

4. Exceptional Circumstances & Processing Errors

While we maintain a general non-refundable baseline for digital products, we recognize that technical processing anomalies can happen. Consequently, we review the following exceptional scenarios:

  • Duplicate Processing Transmissions: If an infrastructure lag or payment gateway error causes our system to charge your bank account or credit card twice for a single transaction, we will naturally rectify the error. Specifically, we will refund the duplicate charge back to your original payment method.
  • Unauthorized Account Exploitation: If a fraudulent party uses your financial credentials without your consent on our registration portal, please notify your financial institution and our compliance desk immediately. We will lock the fraudulent account and coordinate with payment processing networks to resolve the dispute.

5. Refund Windows & Mechanisms

6. Voluntary Program Terminations

Our Global Internship Program (GIP) and structural mentorship networks operate under distinct academic administrative guidelines. If an intern or a mentor voluntarily steps away from a batch or an active research module prior to completion, this action does not trigger financial or resource liabilities for IPJ.
