Cambodia: A delegation from Cambodia visits India

A delegation from Cambodia led by Lt. Gen. Hun Manet, Dy. Cdr-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) and Cdr. of the Royal Cambodian Army (RCA) called on Hon’ble Vice President of India and Chairman, Rajya Sabha, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar at Parliament House Complex today.

During the interaction, Hon’ble Vice-President recalled the fond memories of his visit to Cambodia last year on the occasion of 30th anniversary of India-ASEAN relations. Highlighting the long historic & cultural ties between the two nations, Shri Dhankhar described Cambodia as a very important partner in India’s ‘Act East’ policy.

Both sides discussed various topics including India’s presidency of G-20, and emphasised upon the need for greater physical and digital connectivity for better people to people contact between the two countries.

Shri Dhankhar conveyed his best wishes for the peace, progress and prosperity of Cambodia and for the health and well-being of its citizens.
