The Pan-African Parliament was established in March 2004, by Article 17 of the Constitutive Act of the African Union, as one of the nine Organs provided for in the Treaty Establishing the African Economic Community signed in Abuja, Nigeria, in 1991. The Protocol establishing the PAP was ratified by 49 Member States.

G7 Summit 2024: Strengthening Global Partnerships for Sustainable Development

The Leaders of the G7 met today with their counterparts from Algeria, Argentina, Brazil, India, Jordan, Kenya, Mauritania, Tunisia, Türkiye and the United Arab Emirates. Together with the Heads of the African Development Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the Organisation of Economic Co-operation and Development, the United Nations and the World Bank.
